Job Vacancy In Dodoma Region.

Plan is an international child - centered Development Organization whose
mission is to achieve lasting improvements in the quality of Iife of deprived
children through a process that unites people across cultures and adds meaning and value to their lives. Plan has been working: in Tanzania since
1991, supporting children and communities to gain better access to health,
education, water, sanitation and hygiene, livelihoods , and protection
through five Country Programs. Plan works with children, their families and
communities to implement programmes at qrassroots level.
Plan Tanzania now invites applications from suitable, qualified and
experienced persons to fill the position described below.

RESOURCE MOBILISATION SPECIALIST

The Resource Mobilisation Specialist will support the
Resource Mobilisation Department to achieve objectives mainly in the
acquisition of grants locally and international across various income
streams. The incumbent will be responsible for leading acquisition efforts
for projects with a total portfolio of up to Euro 1 M. This role will lead the
design of such projects, ensuring of effective coordination with respective
departments (including National Offices where applicable) and where
appropriate consortium formation. Further leading all key grants related
start up processes for new projects within the designated portfolio. Writing
of successful projects mainly within the above portfolio(Euro 1 M) and
Quality assurance to ensure grant proposal projects meet donor require-
ments and Timely submission of projects as well as Support corporate
engagement efforts of the department

Educational Qualification and ExperienceHigher Degree in Development studies or any other relevant field
7 years of professional experience of which at least five should have
been in the field of resource mobilization with a diverse group of donors
At least 5 years of working with large NGOs
Demonstrated track record of writing project proposals and obtaining
grant fundinq to support development programs.
Experience in identifying and developing fund raising opportunities
Experience of working with children and communities and managing
child-related programs and projects would be an advantage
Demonstrable knowledge as a result of study, traininq or practical experience in Development with a robust understanding of development programs
Experience in Grant proposal writing (US$ 500,000 and above) will be a .
key requirement for this position (a track record of successful proposals will be requested for including key contacts of related donors)
Knowledge of especially local and external donors that could support
Plan's work.
