The National Construction Council is a Government Institution established by Act of Parliament No. 20
of 1979 and became full operational on 19th August 1981. Its major role is to promote development of
the Construction Industry in Tanzania. The Council hereby invites applications from suitably qualified
Tanzanians to fill the following vacant post
Telephone Operator III Receptionist II - 1 Post
(a) Qualifications
Holder of National form four or six certificate that has obtained good credits in English, Swahili and
pass in Geography at "0" level with Front Office Management training at NTA 5 from a recognized
Institution.
(b) Work Experience
A minimum of (1) one year of work experience.
(c) Duties and Responsibilities
To receive all visitors to NCC and directs them to the appropriate officials as may be
necessary.
To attend all incoming telephone calls and directs them to the right officials.
To receive all incoming mail and submits them secretarial or respective officials.
To maintain register of various activities
To Perform any other Duties 'and Responsibilities as my be determined from time to time
by one's reporting officer
Research Officer Grade II - 1 post
(a) Qualifications
Fresh holder of Master Degree Civil Engineering, who attained a minimum of an upper second class
honors degree at undergraduate level and must be fluent both in spoken and written English and
Kiswahili. Candidates should also be Computer literate.
(b) Duties and Responsibilities
To carry out training activities as organized by the Council
To undertake research work under supervision of Senior Research Officers
To ensure that research work assigned to him/her is properly carried out.
To carry out other duties as may be assiqned by ones reporting Officer
Personal Secretary II -
(a) Qualifications
3 Posts
Holder of Form IV or Form VI Certificate of Secondary Education with credit passes in. English
and Kiswahili plus Certificate in Secretarial Studies (NTA 6) with grades of B or above in typing
stage III. Secretarial Duties, Computer applications and Short Hand in English and Swahili of 80
w.p.m. Prospective candidates are expected to have computer knowledge in World Processing and
Spreadsheets.
(b) Work Experience
A minimum of (2) two years of work experience.
(c) Duties and Responsibilities
To ensure that the offices are opened on time, secure, clean and well arranged.
To make and remind about official appointments travels arrangement, keeping of events
and ensures timely retirement of imprest.
To disseminate information as directed by the supervisor.
- To type all general correspondence and confidential matters
To file copies of typed letters in relevant files
To ensure timely delivery of mail and maintain a dispatch book to ensure that deliveries
are received
To receive all mails, messages and parcels and classify and bring them up for preview,filing and action ' .
To receive, register and direct visitors as appropriate and record and deal with inquiries
To maintain a diary of appointments, meeting, occasions for executives and informs!
remind them before and on due date
To prepare and facilitates departmental and other meetings and process records of-the
proceedings.
