Job purpose
Assist Centre Manager in development, co-coordinating and facilitating implementation of centre plan, strategies, and programme according to annual plan and budget and strategic plan. Supervise provision of quality reproductive Health and general health care Services
Minimum Requirements
• An advanced Diploma in Clinical Medicine from recognized Medical institution
• Should be registered by Medical council of Tanganyika
• Should have at least 3 years working experience in a similar position.

POSITION: MANAGING MEDICAL DIRECTOR
The Executive Council of the Evangelical lutheran Church Mbulu Diocese in Manyara Tanzania, owner of the Haydom lutheran Hospital, announces job opportunity to fill the Position of Managing Medical Director which will be vacant by January 16, 2015.
Haydom lutheran hospital is a referral hospital at Regional level in Manyara Region with capacity of 420 beds. It serves more than 350,000 people in its immediate catchments area and more than 2.2 million populations in its greater catchments area. Currently main Hospital focus areas are preventive and curative services, Rehabilitation and specialized referral services, Training, Research and Fundraising.
The Hospital overall vision is summarized as "To cater for all physical, mental and spiritual needs of its patient"
Qualifications
The Managing Medical Director of Haydom lutheran Hospital shall be a trustworthy Christian Medical Doctor (MD) with specialist qualification in any field of Medicine and not less than five (5) years experience in administrative position in Hospital.
The office requires that he/she is a creative, mature person, diplomatic, courageous, tolerant, high integrity and fluent in both English and Swahili languages.
Terms of Service
The Managing Medical Director will be appointed by the Executive Council of ElCT Mbulu Diocese on a five years contract term. He/she shall be answerable to the Hospital Board and accountable to the Executive Counsil of the Diocese
Responsibilities and Duties
• Will be responsible to provide leadership for Haydom Lutheran Hospital.
• Will ensure that Christian principles and Hospital values upon which Haydom Lutheran Hospital is founded are observed.
• Will exercise discipline while giving other responsible staff sufficient authority and autonomy to be effective in their appropriate duties.
• Will request the authorization of the Hospital Board and Executive Council of the Diocese when dealing with problems of long range policy implications or changes on established policies.
• Will collaborate with other stakeholders to solicit fund for the running and development of the Haydom Lutheran Hospital.
• Will be accounting officer of the Haydom Lutheran Hospital and secretary to the Hospital Board.
