POSITION: MANAGER NETWORK PLANNING AND STRATEGY.
REPORTS TO: COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR
DUTY STATION: DAR ES SALAAM
ROLE PURPOSE STATEMENT

-To develop and implement PW’s medium to long term network growth strategy into new and existing markets that maximizes network profitability and delivers value to PW’s customer.

-To develop and implement a long term strategic fleet plan that is consistent with PW’s network development plan
To build and manage a high performance Aero Political department and take responsibility for implementation of PW’s Aero Political strategy

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop & drive an optimal network strategy to ensure sustained growth & profitability.
• To develop & recommend a viable/optimal fleet plan to meet PW network requirements.
• Ensure that PW has an effective aero-political strategy in place to deliver the network requirements for the present, medium and long-term future.
• Initiate market and industry analysis in order to identify and recommend new business opportunities.
• Drive the development and production of routine reports that achieve efficient assessment of Commercial performance (Key Commercial Indicators, Historical/forecast Load factors, etc)
• Design and drive the alliance and partnership strategy to enhance PW network and market coverage.
• Lead and direct implementation of feasible schedules that ensure maximum aircraft utilization, operational integrity and profitable assignment of fleet.
• Identification and application of business process tools for network optimization and forecasting models
• Manage PW’s slot portfolio and secure new slots for coordinated airports
• Utilises interdepartmental relationships to ensure that PW’s Network Plans are implemented with full support of the Company’s stake holders
• Lead, motivate, train and support the team for high productivity and efficiency
• Manage departmental budget

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

• University graduate
• Highly developed commercial acumen derived from a minimum of 5 - 10 years commercial airline experience in a senior level in Network Planning & Scheduling.
• Experience in route profitability and industry best practice of route evaluation
• High level interpersonal skills which develop productive relationships internally and externally.
• Conversant with airline commercial/business planning tools.
• Proven exposure with Operational and commercial requirements for network & schedule development
• Conversant with appropriate tools and applications to support the business planning process.

ROLE PURPOSE STATEMENT
To drive the design and execution of airline’s route network growth plan, schedule and commercial partnerships
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES /RESPONSIBILITIES

• To design and drive the development and delivery of an optimal network plan that ensures continued profitable expansion.

• To develop and recommend in liaison with Maintenance a fleet plan that meets Precision Air’s company objectives
• Initiate market and Industry analysis in order to identify and recommend new business opportunities
• Plan and implement seasonal schedules to ensure maximum connectivity, aircraft utilization and operational integrity.
• Ensure the smooth running of the schedule on daily basis
• To identify business growth priorities and ensure that Network planning activities are delivered in such away as to add maximum value to the business
• To determine type and level of airline cooperation in liaison with company stakeholders to maximize the network benefit
• To identify and initiate viable airline partnerships to expand and maximize the market access via the Precision Air network
• Delivery of report that achieve efficient assessment of Commercial performance (Key Commercial Indicators, Historical/forecast Load factors, etc)

• Successful implementation of new network destinations
• Optimal utilization of the aircraft (average block hours)
• Efficient use of SABRE scheduling system
• Minimum last minute disruption on the schedule
• Efficient distribution and communication of the airline’s schedules in the distribution channels (DCS/CRS/AOG/Website)
