Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA), Occupational Safety and Health Authority
(OSHA), Tanzania Public Service College (TPSC), Tanzania Engineering and
Manufacturing Design Organization (TEMDO), The Agency for the Development
of Educational Management (ADEM), Public Service Recruitment Secretariat
invites qualified Tanzanians to fill 124 vacant post in the above Public
Institution.

1.0 THE TANZANIA FOREST SERVICES (TFS) AGENCY
Tanzania Forest Services (TFS) Agency as a semi-autonomous Government Agency was
established through Government Notice No. 269 of 30th July 2010. TFS establishment is
supported by the Executive Agency Act (Cap. 245) as amended in 2009, the National
Forest and Beekeeping Policies adopted in March 1998 and administered through the
Forest Act Cap 323 R.E of 2002) and Beekeeping Act Cap 224 R.E of 2002 which
provide the legal framework for the management of forests and bee resources.
TFS Headquarters is located in Dar es Salaam at Mpingo House, Ivory Room premises
along Nyerere Road. TFS offices outside Dar es Salaam operate in seven zones as
follows: Eastern (Kibaha- Kongowe in Pwani Region), Southern (Masasi Town in Mtwara
Region) Southern Highlands (Mbeya Municipal in Mbeya Region), Northern (Same Town
in Kilimanjaro Region) Western (Tabora Municipal in Tabora Region), Lake (Mwanza
Municipal in Mwanza Region) and Central (Dodoma Municipal in Dodoma Region).
The Headquarters is responsible for providing Zonal Offices with technical and
professional support, establishing standards, systems and procedures for resources
management, utilization, capacity building, coordinating the Agency’s technical services,
monitoring and evaluating the performance of field operations. All operational matters of
the Agency are handled at the Zones, and that the Headquarters deals with strategic
management issues.
1.1 FOREST OFFICER II – RE-ADVERTISED - (29 POSTS)
He/she will be responsible for providing technical support and enforce forest policies and
legislations.
1.1.1 DUTY STATION: TFS ZONES/PLANTATIONS
1.1.2 REPORTING TO: ZONAL/PLANTATION MANAGER
1.1.3 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise planting and management of natural forests and plantations
Conduct research
Enforce forest policies and legislation
Build capacity of staff and stakeholders
Conduct planning in forest and coordinate collection and analysis of forest
products statistics
1.1.4 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree in Forestry from a recognized institution of higher learning. Must have
computer knowledge, Ms- Office.

1.2 FOREST ASSISTANT II – RE-ADVERTISED - (35 POSTS)
He/she will be responsible for providing technical support and enforce forest policies and
legislations.
1.2.1 DUTY STATION: TFS ZONES/PLANTATIONS
1.2.2 REPORTING TO: ZONAL/PLANTATION MANAGER
1.2.3 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collect and good keeping of seeds
Tend to tree seedlings and management of tree nurseries
Manage trees and forests
Undertake patrols within the forests
Inspect and grade forest products
Carry out menstruation in forest
Carry out forest extension services
Carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by Supervisor.
1.2.4 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Form IV or VI with Certificate or Diploma in Forestry from a recognized institution.
Computer knowledge will be an added advantage.

1.3 BEEKEEPING ASSISTANT II – RE-ADVERTISED - (10 POSTS)
1.3.1 DUTY STATION: TFS ZONES/PLANTATIONS
1.3.2 REPORTING TO: ZONAL/PLANTATION MANAGER
1.3.3 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assume responsibility for management of bee reserves and apiaries
Collect beekeeping statistics
Keep records on beekeeping research work
Carry out forest extension services
Manage bee colonies
Undertake patrols within the forests/bee reserve and apiaries
Carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by Supervisor.
1.3.4 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Candidate must have IV or VI with Certificate or diploma in Beekeeping from a recognized
institution. Computer knowledge will be an added advantage.

1.4 DRIVER II- RE-ADVERTISED - (22 POSTS)
1.4.1 DUTY STATION: TFS ZONES/PLANTATIONS
1.4.2 REPORTING TO: ZONAL/PLANTATION MANAGER
1.4.3 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive the Agency’s vehicles.
Maintain vehicle logbook and movement records
Maintain smooth running of vehicles
Make simple repair of the vehicles
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and service schedule
1.4.4 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Form four with passes in three subjects including English. Candidate should has Class
*C1 and E* driving license and Trade Test Grade II certificate in Mechanics from a
recognized Institution. Must have a three years clean driving record.

2.0 TANZANIA MINERALS AUDIT AGENCY (TMAA)
Tanzania Minerals Audit Agency (TMAA) is a semi-autonomous Institution established
through Government Notice No. 362 of 6th November, 2009 under the Executive
Agencies Act, Cap. 245. The aim of TMAA is to facilitate maximization of Government
revenue from the mining industry through effective monitoring and auditing of mining
operations and ensuring sound environmental management in the mining areas.
2.1 RECEPTIONIST (RE-ADVERTISED) – 1 POST
2.1.1 Duty Station: Mbeya/ Arusha
2.1.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attend visitors and maintains an up to date visitor’s record book.
Receive all incoming telephone calls.
Records all out going telephone calls.
Coordinate conference calls to and from Regional offices.
Provides telephone services and reporting on the defects.
Maintains and updates the internal telephone directory.
Performs any other official duties as may be assigned by the immediate
Supervisor.
2.1.3 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
CSEE/ACSEE (Form IV/VI) with pass in English and Kiswahili.
Must have undertaken receptionist course from a recognized institution.
2.1.4 REMUNERATION
Salary scale in accordance with Tanzania Minerals Audit Agency Scales
(TMAAS 2)
3.0 INSTITUTE OF FINANCE MANAGEMENT (IFM)
The Institute of Finance Management was established by Act No. 3 of 1972 to provide
training, research and consultancy services in the fields of banking, insurance, social
protection, taxation, accountancy and related disciplines.
3.1 RECEPTIONIST GRADE I (RE-ADVERTISED) – 2 POSTS
3.1.1 DUTY STATION: DAR ES SALAAM
3.1.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collects and compiles information for internal directory
Ensures proper recording and filing of staff particulars in the internal telephone and
office directory
Attends visitors, messages and direct them accordingly;
Receive visitors, messages and direct them accordingly;
Liaise with Estate Office for repair of telephone lines which are out of order
Operates switch boards with at least 50 extensions
3.1.3 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of Certificate of Secondary Education with a one year certificate in
telephone operation or front desk/reception administration or equivalent
qualifications from recognized Institution with at least (5) years work experience in
similar position or holder of an Ordinary Diploma in telephone operation, tourism,
public relation or equivalent qualifications from recognized Institution with at least
three years relevant work experience.
3.1.4 REMUNERATION
This position holds salary scale of PGSS 7/8 and other fringe benefits as per
Institute’s incentive scheme.
4.0 EASTERN AFRICA STATISTICAL TRAINING CENTRE (EASTEC)
The Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre (EASTC), which was established in 1965, is
an accredited Higher Learning Institution whose commitment and mandate is to offer
training, research and consultancy programmes and services in Official Statistics. As an
academic discipline, Official Statistics is collection and processing of data into statistical
information which is disseminated to help users who are policy analyst and Decision
makers in their national economic and social development programmes.
To respond to user demands, EASTC offers courses in Official Statistics at Certificate,
Diploma and Degree levels. Currently it is serving eighteen countries (18) from Eastern
and Southern Africa, whose statistical manpower demands are increasing year by year.
To respond to these manpower demands EASTC has to train more Official Statisticians.
EASTC is therefore inviting potential candidates to apply for the following posts at
EASTC.
4.1 ASSISTANT LECTURER IN MATHEMATICS- POSTS- 2- (RE-ADVERTISED)
4.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach up to NTA level 8 (Bachelor’s Degree).
Prepare learning resources for tutorial exercises.
Conduct research, seminars and case studies.
Carry out consultancy and community services under supervision.
Supervise student’s project.
Prepare teaching manual.
4.1.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree in Mathematics from recognized higher learning institution and must
possess a GPA of 3.5 and above at undergraduate level. Teaching experience in a
NACTE system will be an added advantage.
4.1.3 REMUNERATION (PHTS 8)
5.0 THE NATIONAL FOOD RESERVE AGENCY (NFRA)
The National Food Reserve Agency (NFRA) was established as part of the Public
Service Reforms. With effect from 01 July 2008, the Order of establishing NFRA as an
Executive Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture Food Security and Cooperatives in
accordance with the Executive Agencies Act, No. 30 of 1997, came into force.
5.1 TECHNICIAN II – RE-ADVERTISED - (MECHANICAL)- 3POSTS
5.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform authorized repair and maintenance on weighbridges, buildings and
storage equipment;
Supervise the work of assistant technicians;
Advise on repair and maintenance work to be carried out;
Participate in the preparation of bills of quantity for repair and maintenance work;
Participate in the repair and maintenance work;
Prepare repair and maintenance plan and budget ; and
Perform any other related duties as may be assigned to by Supervisor
5.1.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of Form IV Certificate or above with a Full Technician certificate or
equivalent qualification in Civil/ mechanical/electrical from a recognized training
institution
5.2 ASSISTANT TECHNICIAN (MECHANICAL)- RE-ADVERTISED 7 POSTS
5.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Be a weighbridge clerk
Participate in minor repair activities
Participate in servicing of weighbridges;
Assist technicians during maintenance and repair ;
Read and record weights measured at the weighbridge when the truck is empty
and again when it is loaded and issue weights tickets;
Keep daily record of weights measured at the weighbridge and all trucks loaded
Perform any other related duties as many be assigned to by supervisor.
5.2.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Holder of Form IV Certificate or above with passes in science subjects ,and must
have one year certificate of vocational on mechanical/electrical at a recognized
training institution
6.0 TANZANIA AIRPORTS AUTHORITY (TAA)
Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) is a Government Executive Agency established to
operate, manage, maintain and develop Government owned airports with a commercially
oriented Management style.
6.1 TECHNICIANS (ELECTRICAL) -RE-ADVERTISED – 2 POSTS
6.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Undertake daily inspection of all airport facilities so as to determine need for
service or maintenance
Carry out preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis on plant and equipment so
as to minimize breakdowns and maintenance costs.
Carry out maintenance of airport equipment and buildings in accordance with
preventive maintenance schedules/programs.
Liaise with supervisor for modifications, improvements, installations and
commissioning work
Assist the engineers and technicians and work as per their instructions and apply
engineering solutions in order to solve technical problems and ensure compatibility,
safety of system and reporting technical problems to engineers
Maintain awareness and compliance with technical, safety health environment
(SHE), standards, regulations and procedures. Liaise with other airport users
interested in making alterations or additions to existing structures
Collect data for planning, maintain and update records whenever necessary
Maintain a high standard of proficiency in own skill areas
Perform any other duty as assigned by his/her superior
6.1.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Full Technician Certificate (FTC) or Ordinary Diploma in Electrical Engineering
from a recognized Institution.
Must be Computer literate.
Not more than 38 years of age.
6.1.3 REMUNERATION
Salary scale: TAA SCALE 4.
7.0 OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH AUTHORITY (OSHA)
Occupational Safety and Health Authority (OSHA) is a Government Executive Agency
Established by the Executive Agencies Act No. 30 of 1997. Its main function is to promote
a good, sound and a healthy working environment by enforcing the Occupational Safety
and Health Act. No.5 of 2003 through inspection of work places to detect hazards which
can affect the health of workers, conducting medical examination to workers, providing
education and conducting training in Occupational Safety and Health.
7.1 NURSING OFFICER II - RE-ADVERTISED -(6 POSTS)
7.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out general work place inspections
Maintain records and provide written and verbal reports as required
Prepare monthly and annual reports
Planning and implementing specific occupational health programmes for both
workers and management
Compile monthly and annual reports
Keep records of Inspections
Conduct orientation and induction courses to new employees
Carry out health impact assessment
Provide input for occupational health surveys and researches
Provide inputs for Business plan, Strategic plan, occupational health issues
Prepare articles on occupational health
Attend meetings/seminars/symposia on occupational health
Provide input to Public Relations Office on occupational health issues to be
delivered to media, Government agencies, workers and management
Interpret scientific data collected during investigations and recommend appropriate
control methods
Conduct follow up inspections to ensure corrective measures have been
implemented
Review documents from stakeholders
Review existing and current Occupational safety and health literature
Prepare citations, propose penalties, and determine abetment schedule for
identified violations
Assist in the carrying out of statutory medical examination (Pre- employment,
periodic, exit and special)
Performing any other related duties.
7.1.2 QUALIFICATION
Bachelor Degree in Nursing from a recognized Institution
7.1.3 REMUNERATION
Salary Scale: OSHA-Scale 6.1
8.0 TANZANIA PUBLIC SERVICE COLLEGE (TPSC)
The Tanzania Public Service College (TPSC) is a Government Executive Agency
established in 2000 as a direct response to fill a void for a sustainable public service
training institution. TPSC offers programmes that are directly linked to Government
business agenda and demand driven. As the demands for the public service to offer
quality services at affordable costs increase, it is imperative that the service should be
staffed with competent personnel. Hence, TPSC’s core business is to develop the
appropriate public service competences, which will transform the service into effective
and efficient machinery that will strive to meet citizen’s needs in terms of services.
